Nursing Staff & Receptionist

There are six veterinary nurses employed by the practice:

LouiseLouise Monsey VN is a very experienced fully qualified veterinary nurse and in fact is at Arbury Road for the second time. She first joined Arbury Road in 2002 and oversaw many of the major changes in the practice - and in particular was responsible for setting up many of the systems essential for ensuring the highest standards of nursing care. We were very sorry to see her leave in 2004 when she joined the College of Animal Welfare at Godmanchester as a lecturer on their veterinary nurse training courses. She spent 4 years lecturing before deciding that she missed the on hands aspects of nursing too much and rejoined Arbury Road in 2008.

VikkiVikki Walker VN joined us in July 2004 having qualified and trained at Ash Croft Veterinary Surgery in Hardwick. Vikki’s role is primarily administrative and ensures that the practice runs smoothly - thus she keeps a close eye on drug and medicine stocks, insurance claims, client accounts and any general queries.

Vikki is taking maternity leave at present, but if you have any queries don't hesitate to contact our new receptionist.

Kim Domelow joined us on the 18th August 2008 as our new receptionist. She is also taking on some of our administration.

Having a dedicated receptionist will enable us to continue an effecient service during Vikki's leave, as well as releasing our nursing team to concentrate on their specialist fields of nursing care. Check out our new Nurse Clinics.

VickyVicky Pumfrey VN trained and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in a London small animal practice, and joined Arbury Road in July 2006. She works in all areas of the practice but has special responsibility for running the practice nurse clinics: these are free for registered clients and offer advice on a wide range of topics.

SelinaSelina Cole is the longest serving member of the nursing team, having joined the practice in August 2003, shortly after the completion of the new extension. Selina was originally employed as a nursing assistant but was promoted to Student Veterinary Nurse in due course and successfully qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2007.

Louise

Louise Simpson, having completed an Animal Care diploma at the college of West Anglia with distiction in 2006, has successfully gained a place on a Veterinary Nurse training course. Congratulations to Louise and we are sure you will do well in your studies.

Stevie

Stevie Delaine-Smith joined Arbury Road in the spring of 2008 as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant.

Already she is making herself a indispensable part of our team in giving the best care possible to our patients.
